Lovely hotel. Fab food

Samshannon scored 3 / 5 on 24/10/2012

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly - The room was a good size and clean. The bathroom had a shower and no bath. shower gel and handsoap supplied. The choice at breakfast was reasonable, but we saw a marked improvement in the food quality on our second morning. The leisure facilities were very good and the pool area and changing rooms were very good and very clean. The facilities bar / bistro was good. Location was ideal for a quiet getaway, but a car is essential if you want to travel further a field. would go back!

We stayed for a weekend break recently in the Raheen Woods Hotel, and found it very favourible to our needs away from our children. I located within a small distance from Athenry village, and only 30 minutes drive to Galway, the Hotel is situated In a quite location and we both found it relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay at the Raheen Woods Hotel, Staff were very welcoming. Food at the restaurant was excellent, my children enjoyed the swimming pool. We would certainly return to this hotel. The Lidi value for breaks was good as you dont have to collect any points, we will certainly be using the service again.

we stayed at the raheen hotel with lidlbreaks and found it to be the best value for money in anything i,v done in Ireland for a very long time. the hotel was beautiful ,as was the food, athenry is a brillant town to spend a weekend, we spent an evening in glynns pub run by a very nice young couple, brillant music( thanks to the piano man) looking forward to going back very soon . if i had one complaint it would be the hotel entertainment was a bit dull Robbie

Ed scored 5 / 5 on 30/06/2010

The staff of the hotel were very welcoming and the rooms were nice. Definately more 4* than 3*. Only drawback was the evening meal - service in the restaurant was very slow and the food was overcooked for some of our party. Having said that I would return again.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel last Easter the facilities for children were very satisfactory and my 3 children had a ball however I would suggest the bar staff especially one in particular could relax a bit more around the children ......children will be children and they are on a break away too .

Very nice hotel, lovely surroundings and very pleasant staff. Only problem for us was the location of our room which was above the function room and it meant that we were unable to get to sleep until quite early in the morning, as we had our children with us, we were unable to leave the room until things quitened down, so we unfortunately we left the hotel feeling very tired after a reasonably relaxing weekend.
