The stay was lovely, gentleman checking is in was a delight. Room very spacious and even though by the road it was impossible to hear cars as the evening wore on. Dinner in McGettigans was lovely but service was extremely lacking. Guest in room next to us was a nightmare keeping us awake all night and left a note at my door with a not nice word in it because I asked her to keep the noise down at 3am in the morning. Reception next morning dealt with it well.

Had a great time in Limerick. Hotel was 5*. Very clean.Rooms sealed after cleaning.Reception staff very helpful. Mc Gettigan's Bar was the highlight. Food was excellent. Bar staff were very friendly especially Christopher who looked after us so well.live music on Saturday night.I have never encountered such a bond between staff like this before. They worked so well together. They even managed a group dance to the sound of Tom Jones ????. Happy Staff = Happy Customers. Happy Customers always ends with good time and great memories. If I had one complaint it would be that the pulling up and down of the masks, then touching glasses ,plates, etc could be a potential covid spreader. Maybe a reminder to Hotel staff that we are not out of this pandemic quite yet .But I look forward to my return visit in the not too distant future.

Lovely hotel Great staff Central Would stay again

A nice hotel in a good location in the city. The staff are very friendly. My biggest issue with this hotel is the size of the beds. Vast majority of bedrooms have only a standard double size bed which is very small and cannot really be described as luxurious. Parking is also a problem with no hotel Carpark but they do have a €8 24hr rate with a Carpark at rear of hotel.

Stayed for 1 night, good location, lovely friendly staff. Great breakfast. McGettigans bar lovely. A little disappointed with my meal as the chips were way over cooked but my husband was very happy with his meal. Comfortable clean room and would stay again.

Great hotel Ideal location Friendly staff Great food Very clean

Joseph scored 3 / 5 on 11/08/2021

Food service and accommodation excellent, no televisions on in the bar, other reviews mentioned this too, why is a mystery. TV in your room offered as resolution!!..All other licensed premises in vacinty have so the Covid live gig ban is a non excuse also. Dont clear your bill before 10.20 as if you do your handed your receipt and informed "last orders" at 10.25 (older reviews had this issue too) Yet atc10.45, two individuals apparently known to the staff sitting near bar are served "on the qt" with a check around to see if anyone is looking..after serving these people, immediately we family of four were told to take our drinks upto our rooms..at 10.50pm, when asked why other two individuals were being served pints of lager still, we were informed "that was a jug of water"...interesting indeed. Great food, rooms etc. bar is very poorly managed and looks like deliberately. The poor reviews about the bar I read before travelling were correct. Receptionist apologies on check out all very well, and reporting to management etc. but I advised her I seen that response in the reviews before we travelled.

Fantastic value for money. The staff are lovely. The food in the bar was great and the breakfast was amazing. The only negative for me was the non adherence of Covid guidelines by staff. A lot of staff walking around without masks.

Hotel is great location and very clean also the food was lovely and the room was grand

Eithne scored 3 / 5 on 20/07/2021

I found the staff friendly and helpful however we stayed in room 501 and there was a constant noise all night forgot to mention it to the staff because we were chatting about other stuff and it slipped my mind. I have a feeling it had to do with the lift.

Rachael scored 3 / 5 on 20/07/2021

Hotel is fab and the room was lovely its a pity there was no Air Conditioning with the hot weather we have. There was no fone in the bedroom to ring reception for anything if needed. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

my mother and i visited your hotel for a 2 night mid week break, when we arrived we were not happy with the room as it was looking out at an apartment block i got one of the staff out side in the hall and asked could we be moved as i found the room to be quite depressing i can not remember her name but i have to say she was very accommodating and helped us to get relocated to another room which was much better. we had an evening meal in the bar which was just fabulous i had see food chowder to die for. mam had lamb stew to also die for, mam is old school and a good Irish cook she ranted and raved about the stew and is still wanting to have it again.we had a lovely stay we are from Dublin and just fancied a little break as my mam is not to good on her feet we were in walking distance to the shops and town. the staff i found to be very friendly and nice. for the rooms i was in i think a little update may be needed in decor.thank you. yvonne

Overall a very good hotel and well located for access to the city's shopping areas. The staff were excellent and very helpful especially in the restaurant. Food quality was excellent, well done to the chefs. Bedrooms and corridors are a little tired and need to be revamped, we stayed in a family rook on the 5th floor. We stayed on a B&B and Evening Meal basis and trying to get a meal on the Saturday evening was a bit of an ordeal as it was so busy. We would come again.

Plus points: Very central - walking distance to everything. Brand new hotel bar opened which is very nice. Good deal with groupschemes getting twin room for 20 euros less than normal price plus including breakfast. Minus points: Beyond the bar and lobby, the rooms are in need of an update. Rooms would not be a place to bring the other half to impress them. Suitable for just crashing for the night. Having to pay for car parking. Breakfast is ok if free but if you need to pay, go elsewhere.
