Area Description

For the price we paid i was surprised at how nice the hotel was it looked as if it was only done up everything was clean and new the food was lovely breakfast was served up to you not a buffet as in many hotels now ,bus stop outside hotel brought us into city center would stay again
very pleasant stay. only negative was the addition of 6 euro to some of the starters on the menu.
Lovely stay. Very helpful staff and clean rooms. The breakfast is wide ranging to cater for every taste. The hotel is near the number 7 bus stop that takes one to the Cit Centre. Hotel is in a lovely location with the Wicklow mountains in the background and Killiney Hill Park is a mile away and is a must see in terms of the coastal views.
It was ok - first room we were shown too stank of smoke, but they changed is across to a fresh room - which was fine. room was a little dated and tired - missing a tile or two in the bathroom etc. Staff were very good at reception - and seemed nice enough in the restaurant where we had breakfast. Breakfast was generally edible. but nothing special. Bar did have some nice beers on tap. Handy enough for Killiney (10 mins in Taxi €10) - but only really a step above a Travel Lodge. If I had paid any more, I would have been more disappointed. Grand for business or as somewhere to lay your head, but nothing else really. Would not class it as special. Certainly doesn't feel like a 4 or 5* establishment.
could not have made a better choice staff was fantastic bar staff very helpful bar food great going to stay again for a few days over the christmas my two son really enjoyed the pool
I really enjoyed my stay at Rochestown Lodge, the hotel is very clean & the food was lovely!
Arrived on Sat Sept 5th - I had booked multiple rooms as we were having a reunion - party of 20 including 13 children. Staff were really welcoming and veryfriendly. The accomodation was wonderful (tea/coffee facility in room) and the room was very spacious. We required a camp bed and there was still plenty of room for all. Bar food was great - reasonably priced and the portions were more than adequate - Feedback from my other guests was all positive - would highly recommend to all and all looking forward to returning at a later date. Space limited for a group of children this size the lounge area is adequate during day and there was no rush to leave restaurant in the evening. So all round a wonderful, pleasant, clean and friendly place to stay and only minutes drive from dun laoghaire and M50
Lovely comfortable rooms excellent food in restaurant friendly staff excellent helpful reception staff lady Jenny provided Google maps directions ect we had a very enjoyable break and certainly would return to this hotel again bernard
Very impressed, on arrival, at how pleasant and helpful the reception staff were. We were a party of three and I had made a special request for 3 separate beds and they were able to accommodate us by putting an extra bed in our room. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff looking after the room were very solicitous about ensuring we had enough tea and coffee etc. The restaurant served the most delicious food, we ate there on the first night as part of our deal and chose to eat there again on the second night because the food and staff were so good, particularly our waitress Amy who was very helpful indeed. Would definitely go back for another visit. Dublin was a bus ride away at 3.30 euro and the bus stop was just down the road from the hotel.
Very convenient Hotel for trips to Dun Laoghaire, Monkstown, Killiney and surrounding areas. There are some beautiful walks around the Dunlaoghaire/Killiney area. The bus to Dunlaoghaire/City Centre stop stops outside the Hotel. You can also get the Dart into the city centre which is much quicker than the Bus. The Bus takes nearly an hour to get to City Centre. We asked for an early check in and we were granted same. The staff were very helpful and there was a great buzz in the Hotel on the Friday night. There was a sing song in the bar on the Friday night, with some of the finest singers among the guests including Elvis. The Hotel has a swimming pool and leisure centre. Breakfast was good and if you required anything else you only had to ask. Great value for money Hotel. The Hotel is very clean.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It's a very functional hotel catering for young and old. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean and food is excellent. We will definitely be returning
Stayed here for one night with a group of friends, lovely clean room and food also lovely. Only negative I would have is the hotel description which states hotel as being in Dun Laoghaire, but it's actually about 10mins drive from main area where bars/restaurants/port are so taxi was needed, but Killiney shopping centre is about 5 mins walk away.
Hotel is in good location. Nice pool and bar and excellent food. Good breakfast served. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms could do with a paint and update. Rooms are good size but old and a little dirty with old small beds.
Stayed here Saturday night. We were really pleased with the hotel :) staff were lovely, very friendly and the food was lovely. Rooms were perfect. The leisure centre was also good, only thing was the steam room wasn't working but that can happen anywhere. We book in for a 2nd night and brought our 3 year old son. He loved it :)
Lovely hotel in a great location. Lots to see and do in Dun Laoghaire. Rooms are modern and clean. Food is excellent. Great swimming pool with well equipped changing area and hot showers. I've stayed twice now and can't wait to return again.
Reception were lovely suggested places to go and went out of their way for us . Restaurant was very crowed and noisy in the evening and without us asking a lovely waitress asked us if we would like to move to the bar area for our meal where it was quieter. Lovely staff and room was huge.
Excellent Hotel, good value, nice. Clean and tidy room, great food in restaurant, friendly helpful staff, close for shopping in Dublin,Dun Laohaire, and East excess to M50. Can't wait to return, for more.
Fantastic Stay, great location, very helpful staff, escpecially Lady on Reception. Room was a treat, large & Spacious (We had two children with us, 3 & 1) so really great, they loved the leisure centre and enjoyed the delicious dinner. We enjoyed our Tender Lamb Shanks, so nice! LOvely breakfast with super efficient staff, check out a breeze!
Busy Hotel with a good restaurant and bar food. Beautiful spa and pool area, and the staff are pleasant and helpful. We stayed one night and had beautiful treatments in the spa. We ate in the restaurant and also ordered room service earlier that day all of which was lovely. Would certainly recommend staying here.
Really nice Hotel and lovely restaurant , would stay here again
Very Nice Hotel. Neat, clean rooms. lovely pool, very friendly staff. easy access from M50.
