Fantastic staff, fantastic stay.
Great location, Nice room, comfortable bed tasty breakfast, unfortunately the fire alarm went off at 6am
Great stay, can't fault anything. Very clean and very friendly staff. Will certainly be back.
Lovely hotel Staff were extremely nice and helpful Standard room is ok could do with mini fridge in the room
Great value.
The check-in time of 4pm is too late to allow guest rest and freshen up for any evening outing. Having to prebook a carpark to avail of the hotel discount is ridiculous. A hotel guest should be entitled to the discount.
Amazing experience staff were so friendly. Food was fab. Hotel room was so clean and room was so spacious. Rate was very reasonable with lidl breaks
Fantastic hotel, excellent location, and a great pool.
Nice comfy bed only fault was the breakfast coffee machine was not working properly and buffet food was cold.

Good breakfast Spacious room Busy hotel
LOVELY HOTEL. GREAT SAFF. BREAKFAST WAS VERY NICE. WILL BE RETURNING
Bedrooms were clean. Mattress was of excellent quality. However breakfast is where it all went wrong. Staff very unfriendly. Our table had no cups or sugar. We asked for same - no acknowledgement just got the sugar and mugs and banged down on the table. The cleaning of the tables was a disaster. The table was set firstwith cups cutlery and then sprayed with Disinfectant!! On the second morning there was a major queue for breakfast. Managerial staff seem to be totally ill equipped to deal with same.
My two sisters and I enjoyed a wonderful two night stay at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane last week and we will definitely be back again! The staff were some of the friendliest staff we have ever met, especially Holly who served us dinner in the Stir Restaurant. The hotel areas and bedrooms were spotless, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast and dinner options were wonderful. The location was ideal for a show in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre and we would certainly recommend to a friend! Great one night stay!
Nice hotel polite staff good area for 3 arena 10 min walk
Very clean hotel , beds super comfy and staff very helpful and friendly
Great service throughout the hotel, in the reception, leisure center, and at breakfast. Great value through lidi breaks. Great local, taxi from College Green was 10 euro. We walked (10mins) across the river to get the Luas. The room was clean bright and spacious. Bathroom clean and standard. Overall a pleasant stay. Would recommend it to friends.
Pros: Friendly staff, great location, clean room. Cons: poor water pressure, no Aircon, room was uncomfortably hot.
The beds were so comfortable. Nicholas in the bar makes the best cocktails and was so nice. The breakfast had plenty of choice and great coffee. Would stay there again next time I go to Dublin.
Hotel was nice. Staff were okay. Not very friendly. But there should have been bottles of water in the room.
A fantastic hotel and so near the Bord Gais if anyone is heading to a show. The food was beautiful, rooms very spacious and the staff very helpful. We used the Leisure Centre and it was very clean. Definitely will stay there again.
Do not book Best Car Parks (one of the car parks recommended) We pre-paid but then had to pay again before leaving. Several e-mails later we still have not received a refund.
The staff are not trained. They took a 300euro deposit of me for the room, I have never had a hotel take a deposit of me never mind without notice. I paid to upgrade the room to get the coffee machine and slippers which we didn't get till 11.30am the day of check out. I wasn't happy at all and the staff at breakfast were very unfriendly and unhelpful apart from the gentleman who signed us in. Wouldn't stay again.
Friendly staff at reception easy check in. Lovely rooms. Efficient staff at breakfast. Good food choices what's not to like we'll done guys
Lovely friendly staff, bedroom spotless, and breakfast was all you would need ,????????
Very friendly staff and lovely rooms, very comfortable stay. Good food and great location for Bord Gais Energy theatre. Would definitely stay again.
Room was clean and cosy We were greeted at reception by lovely lady Breakfast was self service with a fine selection Jack made breakfast memorable with his friendliness and professionalism Pool was clean and well run
Friendly helpful staff, lovely room, very clean, good food, will stay there again.
Room was dirty, and breakfast wasn’t great
Fantastic hotel from moment we arrived, rooms were ready and checked in early, rooms perfect we had 2 rooms and a connecting door between us which was opened so was ideal to go into rooms, food in bar was lovely and kerrie serving us was so nice and helpful, main bar was closed but had small bar upstairs, so nice and comfy, breakfast was lovely and a good choice of food, have to say Jack was very friendly and helpful and funny, really enjoyed our stay and will return again
Hotel was fantastic. Easy to add extra items to booking. I had difficulty doing this online and hotel was easy to contact and quick responses. Staff were great. The restaurant food was delicious. Would highly recommend.
Doesn’t seem like a 4 star hotel. Staff at leisure centre were rude. Reception staff were lovely. Bathroom in room was tiny. Booked a double room but got a room with a double bed and a single bed which made the small room even more cramped. Was able to check in before 3 which was good. Probably won’t go back.
Very convenient location. Reasonable deals available. Good breakfast. Room adequate.
Had a wonderful experience here from start to finish. As a coeliac I was very impressed with the attention I received at dinner and at breakfast. Room was clean and spacious. Staff all friendly. This was my 3rd time staying and will be my 1st choice every time I visit Dublin.
Very nice from beginning to end. Had dinner and breakfast, food excellent and service 10/10. The room was very nice, comfortable, quiet and the most comfortable bed in the world! We will return.
Friendly, obliging and hardworking staff who went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Excellent location and I loved the reading lights in the bedrooms.

Lovely attentive staff, dinner and breakfast could not be faulted, and our room was spotlessly clean
Lovely hotel staff are brill rooms and food super will be going again
The breakfast could have been warmer nd more variety Enjoyed our stay Thank you Noreen Smyth
A great hotel for a break staff always friendly yes would like to go back again only thing wrong bar not open to the residents when every pub is open
I would highly recommend this hotel my son and I went up for the one night as for price great value and also the Staff everyone from the reception area to the restaurant staff they were all lovely and made us feel so relaxed .
Front of house staff were so rude to us when we arrived. Didn’t want to answer any of our questions in relation to dinner and leisure centre. This was very disappointing as we had returned to this hotel but don’t think we will be returning after this experience
Dinner menu was too bad. It was just profit-centric
Lovely hotel, friendly staff but the breakfast situation was very messy. When we went to book breakfast online before we went, the latest time available was 8:15. We were told to contact the restaurant re. availability for slightly later and could not get a response. On arrival to the Hotel we tried to book breakfast again (which was included in our rate) and were directed to the restaurant who directed us back to the online booking. We then decided to have breakfast delivered to the room which we had to do through the website. €13 per breakfast for some cereal, 2 croissants, orange juice and brown toast was then deducted from my account. Reception was really helpful with this though and I have been informed that my refund will take 10-15 days for my €26 to be refunded. The breakfast situation is so so so messy for anyone who would not be great with IT, it was so difficult to get anyone assist and it's bad form when it's included with your stay not to be able to avail of breakfast even to your room. I understand the COVID situation but I have stayed recently in other Hotels with no difficulty in relation to breakfast.
We went to the claton for a two night stay but unfortunately I felt I'll shortly after arriving at the hotel. Nothing to do with the hotel.we stayed one night and I had to cut my stay early by one night but the clayton allowed me credit for one night even though I had already paid for the two nights in advance. Thank you very much 5 star service.
Staff were very nice and the hotel was clean. Will definitely visit again.
I was very dissapointed to see the wearing of facemasks was not essential. Most guests of the hotel were walking around not wearing masks. As dinner was full booked that evening we decided to get a takeaway. My partner asked the restaurant for two plates and cutlery. One of the plates was fithy dirty.
Had a very enjoyable couple of days and everyone was ver nice and very professional and meal times and bar times ran like clockwork even though the hotel seemed to be well full I would deffenetly revisit on some occasion
After a bit of a bad start after prebooking an upgrade to executive Room and ordering Prosecco and chocolates as a surprise for a birthday night away nothing was prepared on checking , our room was basic like most rooms nothing executive about it in my opinion and confirmed by front desk staff who said all room where the same size ? So false advertising executive status, we really enjoyed the dinner staff were very attentive and helpful and food was delicious breakfast was ok scrambled eggs were not good stick to the full Irish location is very good very central to Dublin City fine for business but not pleasure
the staff went above & beyond, the food was prefect...the hotel was clean bright and welcoming
Beautiful hotel staff where very helpful breakfast was excellent room was lovely
Fine hotel, lovely staff and good Covid procedures. We got a great deal with dinner, bed and breakfast. Room was spacious but the tv wasn’t tuned right. We booked the pool in advance and my son really enjoyed that. Enjoyed our quick break here!
Immediately we arrived we were given a really warm welcome and that extended to all the staff. Coming out of the Dining room after Dinner the lady polishing the brass door handles stopped and asked if we had enjoyed our Dinner. COVID-19 safety measures were exceptional. Seal put across the bedroom door after being sanitized, all the Tea, Coffee etc in room in sealed containers. All the cushions, throwes from Bed and Pictures from walls had been removed. You book a 1 hour slot for Pool (10 max allowed). Shoers, Jacuzzi, Steam room & Sauna not working. Only 1 person or 1 family allowed in lifts and tables in restaurant and bar well spaced apart. We had lunch on day of arrival then dinner that evening and breakfast the next morning. All really good. Cannot recommend it highly enough. If anyone is waring about dining out for the first time this is definitely the place to start and gain your confidence. They have engaged a OParis Based company operating worldwide to inspect each Clayton Hotel and give advice and training to the staff re COVID-19 and this clearly shows. Will return soon. Keep those Lidly breaks going. Going on a 3 day Lidl break to Waterford from 20th July and hope that trip will be as good as Clayton at Cardiff Lane.
