Area Description
Balyna House lies to the south of Moyvalley Bridge over the Grand Canal, about half way between Enfield and Kinnegad on the old Dublin — Galway road. The house lies in the centre of the estates 500 acres. Balyna Estate was granted in 1574 by Queen Elizabeth I to the OMoore family because they had lost their land in Laois and were reinstated in Balyna.
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff extremely nice and helpful. Pity no swimming pool but ideal place for rest & relaxation. Love the walks. I especially love the little Church. It is a hidden Gem and hope it will always be available for quite times. Will hopefully be back next year
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Moyvalley Hotel in Kildare, and my experience was truly delightful. The staff at the hotel were not only professional but also exceptionally friendly and accommodating. A special shout-out to the cleaning staff, whose dedication to maintaining a pristine environment did not go unnoticed, and the servers who consistently provided excellent service. The location of Moyvalley Hotel is nothing short of beautiful, creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere that added to the overall charm of my stay. The scenic surroundings complemented by the attentive staff created a memorable and relaxing experience. Moreover, I must commend the culinary team for their outstanding work. The food served was of the highest quality, and each dish exceeded my expectations. From breakfast to dinner, the culinary experience at Moyvalley Hotel was a highlight of my visit. In conclusion, Moyvalley Hotel in Kildare is a gem with its friendly and accommodating staff, stunning location, and excellent food. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay.
Exceptionally friendly, helpful staff - room was very nice too
Rooms nice & clean. Staff very helpful & friendly. Nice dinner in the restaurant. The breakfast wasn't great, was Luke warm & mushrooms were missing (room service). No actual bar apart from the one in restaurant, to sit & watch a match or the snooker, television in the restaurant but you're taking up a table then.
Warm staff and nice hotel

Lovely welcoming hotel, gourgous clean rooms & helpful friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
Excellent food & service
My 1st time to stay in Moy Valley Hotel. Beautiful drive up from road. Got a nice greeting at reception. Room Was very airy, clean and good size. I used the bar for food and drink. A good selection on menu and it was reasonably priced. Bar staff were efficient, pleasant and courteous. A buffet self service breakfast in the morning. Sometimes it can be hit and miss depending on timing. Hot food was not hot as had been there for awhile. All in all I certainly would go back.....

Beautiful hotel. Food was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. I don't play golf but the grounds of hotel were lovely. We enjoyed walking around the area. We had a chat the gardener who loves his job. The high cross and little church were interesting historical features. We will definitely return.
Excellent Staff, wonderful breakfast & luxurious room. Will definitely be back.
Want quiet restful surroundings and a bit of peace? Stay here. Friendly staff, everything in working order and breakfast in bed to be recommended.
Arrived Sunday lunch time but couldn't get a sandwich for lunch, not available on Sundays, as we were booked in dinner we obviously didn't want 2 dinners! No fridge in room. No comfy bar area to relax.
Lovely hotel and great staff
Lovely hotel, friendly staff. It would be a nice touch if bottled water was supplied in the room and if the TV had more channels.
