Just returned from a three night stay in the Silver Tassie Hotel. Lovely atmosphere throughout and the room was cosy and spotless. Delicious generous helpings at breakfast and dinner. Staff were courteous and efficient and couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend.
Extremely friendly staff, Food was wonderful and fresh, The room was clean and tidy can't wait to go back
I booked the Silver Tassie Hotel as a treat for my wife to celebrate our latest wedding anniversary. From my 1st contact to the morning we left, I found the hotel wonderful and extremely friendly. They organised wine in the room with chocolates upon our arrival. The food was delicious, room spacious, airy and clean. Staff friendly and always smiling. A wonderful hotel and one I hope to stay in again. Thank you Silver Tassie for a fantastic stay
Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, food is fablous, would definitely recommend
Stayed here recently a very nice hotel. Friendly staff food very good. Spa was superb
This was for our honeymoon trip and when we arrived the staff were lovely, ended up the sink didn't work in our room so we got upgraded to the most beautiful room. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough as there is lots of activities to do around it also.
Friendly atmosphere in hotel
Not impressed with the customer service. Went to book a table and there were 2 staff standing by a small bar inside the restaurant chatting and one behind the bar. The person behind the bar came out and walked past me! At this stage I was ready to leave when one of the other staff approached me, reluctantly, chewing gum and a long face, not very welcoming. Had dinner, but did not enjoy as welcome was so off putting. Next night, went in to dinner , same waitress chewing gum, noisy party , kids running around the restaurant, service was awful. Room was dated , definitely not 4*. Loved the front area ,was nice and relaxing and reception staff were so welcoming. Such a shame as we travelled 4 hours to get there, and were so looking forward to it, very disappointed ????

Clean comfortable and friendly staff food at dinner was lovely and breakfast was great no problems whatsoever :)
Friendly staff located just outside letterkenny
Myself, my husband, our 12 year old daughter and 10 year old grandson stayed here for three nights in August in a family room. The room was big with two double beds and a single bed, very comfy, had tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer in the room. Don't get me wrong now, it was lovely, just a few little things. The shower went from scalding hot to cold in waves, so you backed out on the scalding hot waves and did as much as you could before it went cold and backed out again, and inched your way back in again before it suddenly turned scalding hot again, and this was the shower. I had another daughter and her family stay in another family room and their shower was the same, worse my grandson said, as he used both showers. It wasn't until we were tidying up to leave that I read the instructions with the room, I mean who reads instructions, I would have assumed the receptionist would have told us all the important things on checking in, but no, the use of the Aura leisure pool in letterkenny town is free for residents of the hotel, this is after we paid twice to go swimming. We checked in with the children, it's not like we had them hidden. So yeah, the meals were tasty and hot, the BBQ on the Monday night was fabulous, the staff were indeed helpful and friendly, the hotel is clean and the decor is lovely, lovely wallpaper, just the little things.
Great hptel, great staff and great food! Have stayed on numerous times and have never been disappointed.......can't wait to go back!
It`s our second time staying at the Silver Tassie Hotel and just like the first time we got a warm welcome from the staff. We had a drink in the bar from a very friendly barman, the breakfast was also nice, the room was spacious and clean,it`s in a lovely location as well for touring the county.
Lovely hotel. Bar food very nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and spacious.
We had a lovely stay would definitely go back And recommend it to friends staff were very friendly And were really helpful. Will be planning another stay very soon
This is a pleasant and welcoming hotel, good value. It was busier than I expected considering it's location and time of year. Good standard upstairs and breakfast was above everage. Impressed by the free newspaper and most of all by the traditional Donegal courtesy which seems so natural but of course has to be worked at. Four out of five rating. They work hard to impress.
hotel was lovely, staff very helpful and food was class. will be going back
This is an exceptional hotel. It is well worth every penny. The service is exquisite. They couldn't do enough for us when we stayed. Due to the obvious high standards of the hotel, we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant ratehr than go into letterkenny and it turned out to be a very good decision. The choice was very expansive and couldn't choose what to have. The restaurant seems to specilise in steak so I ordered the sirlion. They had a great selection of specilised steaks such as a mouth watering 20oz option which I was very tempted to try. I ended up getting the 10oz sirlion and it was magnificent. I can honestly say it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. My partner has the black sole and she was very impressed by it. We were so tired after our traveling that we were more than happy to relax in the room and watch tv. The room was huge and very very comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable and the rooms were also very well kept. There was music on in the bar which gave us a great choice for something to do. The breakfast was also of the highest order and gave us a great start to the day. There was a great choice of continental breakfast along with the full irish. We were so comfortable in the hotel that we ended up staying after we checked out and walked around the hotel and relaxed in the beautifully designed lounge/reception area. The hotel is also situation brilliantly beside the bustling town of letterkenny which offers anything you could need and is also a 10minute drive away from Ramleton (a beautiful traditional village and also Rathmullen which is significant for being the place where the historic event of the Flight of the Earls took place. I would definetly suggest that anyone looking for a quiet, intimate, relaxing weekend away would consider the Silver Tassie as you will not be disappointed by any means. I felt fully refreshed and relaxed after our visit and this was at the end of a week long tour arou
Lovely break, great hotel very friendly and helpful staff, excellent value for money, great centre for touring Donegal. Olivia O#Carroll
